Responding to the speech by the National Coordinator of the race and CEO of Fair Play International Sports Agency, Mr Jacob Onu, the Vice Chancellor, Prof Osman Nuri Aras said corruption is a global cancer which must be fought to a standstill.
He commended President Muhammadu Buhari for spearheading the fight noting that the slogan “If we don’t kill corruption, this corruption will kill us” is a statement of fact that must propel everybody at every level to join in the fight against corruption.
Prof Aras also noted that the duty of every institution of higher learning goes beyond academic which is the reason Nile University of Nigeria has made discipline in all areas of life a watchword for the students.
